A highly insulated zinc-clad, timber framed structure replaces a poorly built group of outbuildings.
The new extension helps link the main house to the garden and establishes a new kitchen and sitting area with a large picture window. An outdoor sitting area is created on the tiled plinth with the finish continuing into the new space on the same level. The space is top-lit by openable rooflights and external recessed spotlights light the terrace at night. Underfloor heating removes the need for radiators and makes the floor warm under bare feet.
