Luttrell Road, Four Oaks
Replacement Dwelling – Luttrell Road, Four Oaks Estate
We have secured full planning approval for a replacement dwelling on Luttrell Road within the Four Oaks Estate, part of the Four Oaks Conservation Area under Birmingham City Council. The proposal gained support from local residents, the planning committee, and the council, successfully passing rigorous heritage and conservation policies.
The new home replaces an existing property with a high-quality family home inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement. The design reflects the character of the estate’s early 20th-century homes, with steeply pitched gables, soft red traditionally made brickwork, and a bold central entrance featuring arched stonework. The house is set well back within a large wooded plot, maintaining generous spacing and ensuring it sits comfortably in its surroundings.
The proposal reflects the scale, massing, and materials typical of the area and contributes positively to the architectural character of Four Oaks. This area has historic roots in the grounds of Four Oaks Hall and was developed during the rise of the Arts and Crafts movement in the late 19th century.
This new home will offer a well-considered, modern living environment for our clients while enhancing the quality and appearance of this significant residential estate.
